"El Greco's painting 'Vincenzo Anastagi' is in the Frick Collection, New York. The first time I saw it, I swear my knees buckled. It has a brilliant composition and a powerful presence. One of my favorite paintings!" It is this work that inspired me to create a conversation with Vincenzo Anastagi, considering him in a variety of situations, some humorous such as "Casual Friday" and some more serious, such as "Don Vincenzo - The Later Years." This particular painting became somewhat of a self-portrait, including my dog Buttons resting in Vincenzo's lap.
