Collections

While my painting collections may have varied focuses, the one constant is my use of color, shape, and playfulness of paint. This winter/spring, I returned to fanciful landscape abstractions bursting with color and bold shapes while last fall, my collection "A New Land" was inspired by memories of a trek I took overland through Northern Africa - Tunisia to Egypt, up the Nile, ending in the Serengeti in the late 1960s. The richness of that landscape, the sunrises, the desert itself, are always in my sub-consciousness. My paintings engage the viewer to enter into the paintings and see something entirely new with each viewing.
